Homeowners may be tempted to call driveway cleaning specialists in Merseyside as soon as possible after weather experts have predicted we could face cold conditions as soon as this weekend.
Now is the ideal time to get your drives pressure washed to remove stains and unwanted weeds before the winter comes. And if forecasters are to be believed, that could be sooner than we think.
The Met Office estimates strong south-westerly winds will arrive on Saturday (October 15th) from the Atlantic, bringing strong rainfall from the south.
However, as temperatures plummet over the next few days, this could even turn to snow in some areas.
Areas on high ground could experience extremely low figures close to freezing during the nights, particularly in Scotland the north of England, which could result in snow or sleet.
Exacta Weather’s James Madden said: “A more unsettled spell of weather later in the week will coincide with some chilly easterly and north-easterly winds bringing wintry showers across higher ground in parts of the north at times this weekend and into next week.”
The cold spell is not expected to last for long however, with Mr Madden predicting temperatures will rise again towards the end of the month and a “topsy-turvy weather pattern” of warm and chilly conditions will be felt throughout October.
Despite this, it is a wake-up call for all homeowners to sort out their outdoor spaces before the winter.
As well as getting their driveway cleared, they should also clean their gutters, cut back overgrowing trees and fix any damages to their fences.
